一、课程介绍(含教学目标、教学要求等)(300字以内)
本课程是电磁场与微波技术专业硕士生必修的专业基础课程,其目的在于使学生系统地掌握工程电磁场的基本理论和基本分析方法。通过本课程的学习,要求学生掌握电磁场基本方程、基本定理与原理,了解电磁场问题的基本求解方法,熟悉平面电磁波、导行电磁波与电磁振荡一般理论,掌握基于平面波函数、柱面波函数以及球面波函数分析有关导波问题、电磁辐射与散射问题的一般方法,培养一定的解决工程电磁问题的能力,为后续课程学习以及课题研究打下基础。本课程共54学时,讲授52学时,每周4学时。

四、主讲教师简介:
徐金平,男,1962年6月生。1982年毕业于南京工学院,1990年在金沙js800000获博士学位,随后在西安电子科技大学从事博士后研究,1993年到南京航空航天大学工作。现为金沙js800000毫米波国家重点实验室副主任、教授、博士生导师。长期从事毫米波理论与技术、计算电磁学、天线与电磁兼容等领域的科研与教学工作,发表学术论文100余篇,参编专著2部,主持国家级和省部级科研基金20余项,研究成果获国家教委科技进步一等奖1项,航空工业总公司、国防科工委和中国高校科技进步二等奖各1项。曾获航空工业总公司“做出突出成绩的中国博士学位获得者”等省部级荣誉称号,是江苏省“青蓝工程”“跨世纪学术带头人”、江苏省“333工程”学术技术带头人培养人选。曾应聘于加拿大McMaster大学任客座教授。曾任教育部高等学校电子科学与技术专业指导分委员会委员、中国航空学会理事、江苏省自然科学基金信息学科组成员等职。现任天线与微波技术国家级重点实验室学术委员会委员,中国电子学会太赫兹专家委员会成员,中国电子学会天线学会电磁仿真专业委员会主任,江苏省电子学会电磁兼容专业委员副主任、微波学报和金沙js800000学报编委委员。

Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:
This is a compulsory course for graduate students who major in the specialty of Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Techniques. The goal of the course is to help student to have a systematic mastery of fundamental theory and basic analysis methods for engineering electromagnetics. The students are required to master basic equations, basic theorem and principle of classical electromagnetics and the fundamental solving methods of electromagnetic problems. A good command of the general theory of plane wave, guided waves and electromagnetic resonance is also expected. Great emphasis is placed on the analyses of guided-wave problem, EM radiation and scattering problems by means of plane wave functions, cylindrical wave functions and spherical wave functions. The students are expected to have a certain amount of ability to deal with engineering EM problems in their future study and research after the completion of the course. The total class time is 54 hours, with 52 lecture hours, 4 lecture hours each week..

Brief Introduction of Chief lecturer:
Jinping XU, Male, born in June 1962. He graduated from Southeast University in 1990 and got his Ph.D degree in EE. Then he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow in Xidian University, Xi’an. Dr.Xu joined the faculty in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1993 and was appointed as a full professor in 1995. Currently, he is with State Key Laboratory in Southeast University. His research area includes: Millimeter wave theory and techniques, Computational electromagnetics, Electromagnetic radiation and scattering, Electromagnetic compatability. Dr.Xu has published more than 100 journal and conference papers and a monograph cooperatively. He has charged more than 20 science research foundation projects at national and provincial level. He has won the first prize and the second prize of science and technology progress for 4 times from the Ministry of Education of China, Ministry of Aeronautics of China, Committee of National Defence Science and Technology and Chinese Universities. Prof.Xu was conferred a number of honorable titles such as “Chinese Ph.D. Degree Holder Who Made Prominent Achievements”. He was appointed as a visiting professor in McMaster University, Canada in 1999. Dr.Xu was a member of steering committee of higher education of the Ministry of China, a member of Information Sub-committee of Jiangsu National Science Foundation. He is now a member of the academic committee of National Key Laboratory of Antenna and Microwave Techniques, a member of specialists committee of THz of CIE. Prof. Xu is appointed as the director of special committee of EM simulation in Antenna Institution of CIE, the director of special committee of EMC in Jiangsu Academy of Electronics. He is in the editorial committee of Chinese Journal of Microwaves and Journal of Southeast University.
