  1. Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:

Teaching Goals: Through the study of the course, students can comprehensively understand the basic principle, system configuration and adaptive signal processing methods of antenna array system as well as applications of antenna array in radar and communications. Let the students learn the history, currents and future of antenna array in order that they can track the development of antenna array and can perform the independent research in near future. One main goal of the course is to prompt the students to bridge the gap between the theory and practice. Furthermore, they can comprehend the engineering principle and configuration of array systems.

Requirements: In the courses, lectures, seminars and practices will be used alternatively. Knowledge learning in classes is required to ease the understanding. Additional reference reading is also necessary. Homework of computer simulations can strengthen students comprehensions for antenna arrays. The final goal of the course aims to give a full understanding of antenna arrays to students.
