本课程主要介绍无线Ad Hoc网络的基本原理和主要应用,课程的基本内容包括网络体系结构、信道接入协议、路由协议、分簇算法、节能机制、网络应用等主要方面。通过本课程的学习,使学生系统地了解和掌握无线Ad Hoc网络的基本概念、主要问题以及基本的解决方法,为今后从事无线自组织网络领域的研究或实践工作打下良好的理论基础。本课程将采用教师讲课和专题研究相结合的方式组织教学,使学生不仅能够了解和掌握无线Ad Hoc网络的基础知识,同时培养和提高他们在专题研究方面的能力。

四、主讲教师简介:
郑军,男,1963年10月出生,博士,金沙js800000移动通信国家重点实验室教授,博士生导师。1983年7月毕业于西北电讯工程学院(现西安电子科技大学)通信工程系,获学士学位,2000年毕业于香港大学电气与电子工程系,获博士学位。2000年-2008年,先后在加拿大女皇大学电气与计算机工程系和渥太华大学信息技术与工程学院从事教学与研究工作。2009年起,任金沙js800000移动通信国家重点实验室教授。
郑军教授长期从事通信与网络技术领域的理论与应用研究,研究范围包括网络通信理论、网络构架和协议设计等方面。近年来主持过多项国家级重要科研项目,包括国家自然基金项目、国家863计划项目和国家科技重大专项。作为第一作者,出版英文专著二部(Wiley-IEEE出版社),包括2009年出版的《Wireless Sensor Networks: A Networking Perspective》。在IEEE等国际主要学术期刊和会议上发表论文100余篇,其中近50篇被SCI收录。目前的主要研究领域包括无线AdHoc络、无线传感器网络、车载自组织网络和宽带移动通信网络。
郑军教授现担任IEEE Communications Magazine编委、EAI Endorsed Transactions on Mobile Communications and Applications主编以及其它多个国际学术期刊的编委。曾担任IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials和IEEE/OSA Journal of Optical Communications and Networking期刊的编委。担任客座主编,先后为各种主要国际学术期刊编辑过10期专辑,包括IEEE Network关于无线传感器网络专辑、IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications关于无线网络编码专辑,Wiley Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing关于水下传感器网络专辑以及Wiley International Journal of Communication Systems关于无线传感器网络高效能协议与算法专辑等。应邀先后担任过多个国际主要学术会议的大会主席(General Chair)、分会主席(Symposium Chair)及程序委员会主席(TPC Chair),包括AdHocNets 2009和AccessNets 2007的大会主席、 IEEE GLOBECOM (2008、2010、2012)和ICC (2009、2011, 2015)的分会主席。此外,还应邀担任过许多国际会议的程序委员会委员,包括IEEE ICC、GLOBECOM和WCNC等。IEEE、IEEE通信学会、IEEE车辆技术学会高级会员。

Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:
This course aims to introduce the basic principles and main applications of wireless ad hoc networks. The basic contents of the course include network architectures, MAC protocols, routing protocols, clustering algorithms, energy control, and network applications. Through this course, the students are expected to have a systematic understanding of the fundamental concepts, major challenges, and effective solutions in the networking aspects of wireless ad hoc networks, and thus lay a good theoretical foundation for further research and practice in the area of wireless ad hoc networks. The course will be carried out in the form of lecturing combined with subject research. The purpose is to not only enable the students to understand the fundamental knowledge on wireless ad hoc networks, but also train and improve their ability in doing subject research.

Brief Introduction of Chief lecturer:
Jun Zheng, male, born on October 1963, PhD, is a professor with the National Mobile Communications Research Laboratory, Southeast University, Nanjing, China. He received the B.S. degree in Wireless Communications Engineering from Xidian University, Xi’an, China, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China, in 1983 and 2000, respectively. Between 2000 and 2008, he worked as a Research Scientist with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Queen’s University at Kingston, Canada, and the School of Information Technology and Engineering, University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Canada, respectively. Since 2009, he has been a full professor with the School of Information Science and Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing, China.
Prof. Zheng has been conducting research in the field of communications and network technologies for many years. The scope of his research includes the design and analysis of network architectures and protocols for efficient and reliable communications, and their applications to different types of networks. In recent years, he has been a principal investigator for several national-level important research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, the National High Technology Research and Development Program ("863" Program) of China projects, and the National Science and Technology Major Project. He has co-authored (first author) two books, both published by Wiley-IEEE Press, including the book Wireless Sensor Networks: A Networking Perspective in September 2009. He has published over 100 papers in refereed international journals and magazines, and peer-reviewed conference proceedings, among which nearly 50 papers are included by SCI. His current research interests include wireless ad hoc networks, wireless sensor networks,vehicular ad hoc networks, and mobile communication networks, focused on network architectures and protocols.
Prof. Zheng serves as a Technical Editor of IEEE Communications Magazine, Editor-in-Chief of EAI Endorsed Transactions on Mobile Communications and Applications, and an editorial board member of several other refereed international journals. He served as an Editor of IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials and an Associate Editor of IEEE/OSA Journal of Optical Communications and Networking. He has co-edited 10 special issues for different refereed journals and magazines, including a special issue of IEEE Network on Wireless Sensor Networking, a special issue ofIEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications on Network Coding for Wireless Communications Networks, a special issue of Wiley Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing on Underwater Sensor Networks, and a special issue of Wiley International Journal of Communication Systems on Energy-Efficient Network Protocols and Algorithms for Wireless Sensor Networks, all as Lead Guest Editor. He has served as the founding General Chair of AdHocNets’09, General Chair of AccessNets’07, and TPC or Symposium Co-Chair of several international conferences and symposiums, including IEEE Globecom (2008, 2010, 2012) and ICC (2009, 2011, 2015). He has also served on the technical program committees of a number of international conferences and symposia, including IEEE ICC, Globecom, and WCNC. He is a senior member of the IEEE, IEEE Communications Society and IEEE Vehicular Technology Society.
