未来移动通信在传输速率和系统容量上有数十倍甚至百倍的提高,采用多天线发送和多天线接收的MIMO空时无线通信技术,可充分挖掘利用空间无线资源,具有重要的作用。此课程主要通过多个专题的讲授和研讨,掌握空时无线通信的概念、理论、方法及其进一步的发展,为开展通信与信息系统专业博士学位论文研究,打下相关的基础。主要讲授和研讨的专题包括MIMO信道模型与信道容量分析、空时编码与空分复用、MIMO预编码传输理论方法、宽带多载波MIMO传输系统、导频设计与信道估计、信号检测与迭代检测译码、以及多用户MIMO传输理论方法等。

高西奇:男,1967年3月生,金沙js800000信息科学和工程学院教授,博士生导师。主要研究方向为空时无线通信理论与技术、宽带多载波传输与多址技术、现代信号处理及其在移动通信中的应用研究。

Course Introduction (including teaching goals and requirements) within 300 words:
The transmission data rate and system capacity of future mobile communication systems will have enormous improvement. Multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) space-time wireless communication technology that employ multiple antennas at both the transmitter and receiver play a key role in fully exploiting spatial resources. This course, by the lecture and seminar of several selected topics, make the students understand the concept、theory、method and development of space-time communication, and lay the foundation for the doctoral dissertation of communication and information system. The main topics include: MIMO channel model and capacity analysis, space-time coding and spatial multiplexing, MIMO pre-coding transmission theory and method, wide-band multi-carrier MIMO transmission system, pilot design and channel estimation, signal detection and iterative detection & decoding, and multi-user MIMO transmission theory.

Brief Introduction of Chief lecturer:
Xiqi Gao received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineeringfrom Southeast University, Nanjing, China,in 1997.
He joined the Department of Radio Engineering,Southeast University, in April 1992. Now he is a professor of information systems and communications. From September1999 to August 2000, he was a visiting scholar atMassachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge,and Boston University, Boston, MA. His currentresearch interests include broadband multi-carrier transmission for beyond 3G mobile communications,space-time wireless communications, iterative detection/decoding, and signalprocessing for wireless communications. He is currently serving as aneditor for IEEE TransactionsonWireless Communications.
Prof. Gao received the Science and TechnologyProgress Awards of the State Education Ministry of China in 1998 and 2006.
